Position Summary

The Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and organizing a variety of education activities including individual, department and hospital wide programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for staff.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs to support employee development and organizational goals.
  • Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and implement education, quality, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and share performance data to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead education-related projects, committees, and team development activities.
  • Provide education, coaching, and subject matter expertise to staff and leaders.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and support changes in nursing practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize learning management and data systems to support education programs and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and applicable federal, state, accreditation, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • BLS
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider
  • Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider Instructor within 3 years of accepting or transferring into the position.
  • 3-5 years of recent clinical experience with ongoing ability to demonstrate mastery of relevant clinical skills.
  • Sufficient previous experience in adult education
