Assists with the planning, developing, implementing and evaluating of education programs to ensure compliance with established goals and the realization of quality, economical health care service. Demonstrates the ability to meet the educational needs of the hospital. Creates and conducts in-house educational programs.
Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments of learning needs using a variety of strategic tools and incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs.
- Supports the development of the healthcare team and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced based practice.
- Creates and conducts in-house educational programs as need identified.
- Conducts and delivers In-Service training in various clinical areas.
- Completes all documentation required to validate class completion.
- Supports clinical staff in the advancement of clinical practice and professional development.
- Collaborates with administrative disciplines.
- Ensures the department is compliant with current hospital regulations.
- Coordinates education and training as needed with ability to provide feedback for coaching if needed.
- Manages staff competencies and orientation to specific department functions.
- Promotes and assists the implementation of new initiatives and technology.
- Collaborates in implementation of new hospital and department policies, new techniques and new instrumentation as well as reviewing and updating policies
