Position Overview
Captures the essential functions of the role, including:
- Coordinates orientation plans for healthcare providers.
- Individualizes orientation plans based on experience and learning needs.
- Aids in updating and monitoring the orientation process.
- Evaluates program outcomes based on educational materials.
- Disseminates information about relevant learning offerings.
- Integrates evidence-based practice and CH regulatory standards.
- Develops and updates educational materials.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
- Facilitates critical thinking and performance improvement.
- Promotes research integration into practice.
- Assists with competency development and performance appraisals.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: MS or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care healthcare facility.
- Some previous teaching experience preferred.
- If hired on the Mother/Baby Unit, IBCLC certification required within one year.
- Other credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse - NJ, ATCN or TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, PALS, ACLS, NRP.
- Physical demands: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying objects, pushing/pulling, wrist position deviation, pinching/fine motor activities, keyboard use/repetitive motion.
- Sensory requirements: Very accurate 20/40, near vision, accurate far vision, color discrimination, moderate depth perception, accurate hearing.
- Occupational exposure risks: Bloodborne Pathogens, chemical, airborne communicable disease, radiation, dust/particulate matter.
