Residency Associate Program Director

About the role

The Clinical & Educational – Anesthesiology Residency Associate Program Director role is available at HCA Florida Westside Hospital and HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in South Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the anesthesiology residency program: Ensuring residents receive high-quality education and practical experience.
  • Creating and managing the curriculum: Developing and implementing educational experiences and assessment processes.
  • Fostering a positive learning environment: Providing constructive feedback, support, and intervention when necessary.
  • Making sure residents have the required experience with procedures, diagnostic, and therapeutic methods.
  • Participating in medical procedures and training: Directing patient care and training other medical staff.
  • Collaborating with medical staff and administrators: Ensuring departmental goals align with overall hospital objectives.
  • Involvement in research: Leading or contributing to studies and scholarly development. Overseeing resident and faculty scholarly activity for the entire program.

Requirements

  • A strong background in both clinical and academic anesthesiology.
  • Experience in managing and training residents.
  • Prior research involvement that includes recent publications.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development within the field of anesthesiology.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology.
  • Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.
  • Experience in teaching and training residents.
  • Research experience and recent publications.

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of current trends and advancements in anesthesiology.
