About Our Organization

The Latin American Health Alliance (LAHA) is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Central Massachusetts, focused on improving the health and well-being of underserved communities, particularly the Latinx population. We provide culturally sensitive addiction recovery services, healthcare access, and educational support. Our mission is to foster long-term health, stability, and empowerment, promoting sustainable solutions for individuals facing significant challenges related to substance use disorders. The Hector Reyes House is a residential recovery program operated by LAHA that provides a safe, structured, and culturally responsive environment where Latino men can build the skills, stability, and support needed for long-term recovery.

Why This Role Matters

This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape clinical culture at one of Central Massachusetts’ most mission-driven residential recovery programs. You will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, influence program design and policy, and make a measurable difference in the lives of Latino men on the path to recovery. LAHA provides organizational support including ongoing professional development funding, CEU reimbursement, collaborative executive leadership, and a team deeply committed to culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all clinical operations including assessments, treatment planning, service delivery, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Oversee intake, screening, and admission processes, including ASAM placement criteria, eligibility verification, and coordination of referrals.
  • Lead clinical quality assurance activities, including chart reviews, documentation audits, treatment plan reviews, incident follow-up, and corrective action planning.
  • Direct supervision of the Case Management team.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all privacy and security requirements for protected health information.
  • Train and assist in the professional development of staff.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with staff to communicate issues regarding procedures, processes, and overall effectiveness.
  • Assist with marketing and community relations as needed.
  • Conduct or oversee specialty groups as assigned by the Executive Director and in alignment with program needs, licensing requirements, and clinical best practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, behavioral health providers, hospitals, courts, community organizations, and recovery support networks to strengthen access, continuity of care, and program census.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active LICSW, LMHC, or LADC1 license in Massachusetts, in good standing.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, master’s of science in social work, master’s of psychology, or a master’s in a counseling-related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of direct clinical services experience plus three years in a supervisory or management role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ASAM criteria, BSAS licensing, and state/federal residential program compliance.
  • Familiarity with utilization management processes, including insurance authorizations and concurrent review documentation.
  • Formal training or certification in evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing.
  • Spanish-speaking preferred (but not required).
