Clinical Director- Residential

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a multidisciplinary team of therapists, case managers, and behavioral staff.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized treatment plans.
• Ensure clinical programming aligns with best practices in adolescent mental health and traumainformed care.
• Conduct regular clinical supervision and staff performance evaluations.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards (e.g., DBH, Joint Commission).
• Collaborate across departments to support holistic care.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred
• Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
• Current and active clinical licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) in the state of Virginia
• Minimum 5 years of experience providing clinical services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience working with adolescents in a residential or acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of traumainformed care, evidence-based practices, and adolescent development.
• Proficient in clinical documentation, EMR systems, and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Joint Commission accreditation and Department of Behavioral Health regulations.
• Certification or training in traumafocused CBT, DBT, or other adolescent treatment modalities.
• Experience with family therapy and systems-based approaches.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Primarily onsite, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed for family meetings, emergencies, or audits.
• Requires participation in oncall clinical rotation.
