About the role
The Clinical Director oversees the operations and administration of a rehabilitative outpatient clinic providing Physical and Occupational Therapy. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations and health care requirements, patient evaluation and treatment, and meeting clinic census goals.
Responsibilities
- Meet clinic and individual clinician census goals
- Scorecard review weekly with Regional Clinical Director (RCD)
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Facilitate facility maintenance
- Interview and hire clinical, administrative, and support staff
- Train and onboard clinical staff, evaluate performance
- Resolve performance issues and escalate to Human Resources (HR)
- Maintain staff compliance and monitor documentation audits
- Monitor monthly budget for visits, labor, and clinical supplies
- Perform new patient evaluation audits weekly
- Manage and approve staff expenses in the clinic
- Manage physician referrals and direct access reviews
- Support staff in expense management, scheduling, interviewing, and termination
- Monitor discharge policy adherence and monthly clinical supply ordering
- Adhere to lost patient log workflow and conduct weekly calls with RCD
- Conduct weekly meetings with Operations Manager (OM)
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate degree preferred
- NJ Physical Therapist License required
- Valid CPR license
- Minimum of three years' clinical outpatient experience and two years' clinical supervision or clinical program development experience
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Ability to troubleshoot, make decisions, and maintain composure in conflict situations
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate degree preferred
- NJ Physical Therapist License required
- Valid CPR license
- Minimum of three years' clinical outpatient experience and two years' clinical supervision or clinical program development experience
