Clinical Director - Physical Therapist

About the role

The Clinical Director oversees the operations and administration of a rehabilitative outpatient clinic providing Physical and Occupational Therapy. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations and health care requirements, patient evaluation and treatment, and meeting clinic census goals.

Responsibilities

  • Meet clinic and individual clinician census goals
  • Scorecard review weekly with Regional Clinical Director (RCD)
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Facilitate facility maintenance
  • Interview and hire clinical, administrative, and support staff
  • Train and onboard clinical staff, evaluate performance
  • Resolve performance issues and escalate to Human Resources (HR)
  • Maintain staff compliance and monitor documentation audits
  • Monitor monthly budget for visits, labor, and clinical supplies
  • Perform new patient evaluation audits weekly
  • Manage and approve staff expenses in the clinic
  • Manage physician referrals and direct access reviews
  • Support staff in expense management, scheduling, interviewing, and termination
  • Monitor discharge policy adherence and monthly clinical supply ordering
  • Adhere to lost patient log workflow and conduct weekly calls with RCD
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Operations Manager (OM)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate degree preferred
  • NJ Physical Therapist License required
  • Valid CPR license
  • Minimum of three years' clinical outpatient experience and two years' clinical supervision or clinical program development experience
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Ability to troubleshoot, make decisions, and maintain composure in conflict situations
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate degree preferred
  • NJ Physical Therapist License required
  • Valid CPR license

  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
