Clinical Director of Pharmacy

About the role

The Associate Clinical Director of Pharmacy will oversee the pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing clinical leadership to the pharmacy staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations including medication management, inventory control, and staff training.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including but not limited to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Provide clinical oversight to pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
• Current Florida Pharmacy License.
• At least 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences and clinical pharmacy practice.
• Experience with pharmacy compounding and sterile products.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
