About the role
The Associate Clinical Director of Pharmacy will oversee the pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing clinical leadership to the pharmacy staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including medication management, inventory control, and staff training.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including but not limited to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
- Provide clinical oversight to pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
- Current Florida Pharmacy License.
- At least 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences and clinical pharmacy practice.
- Experience with pharmacy compounding and sterile products.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
