Clinical Dietitian RD - Cornell - Inpatient Units - Full Time - Day Shift
About the role
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or caregivers based on assessment of individual needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to educate staff and develop nutrition treatment programs to ensure optimal nutritional care, in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will participate in patient care rounds, performance improvement programs, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and perform other related duties as assigned. This is a full-time, day shift position located at Cornell inpatient units.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or caregivers based on individual needs.
- Educate staff and develop nutrition treatment programs to ensure optimal nutritional care.
- Participate in patient care rounds and performance improvement programs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent.
- Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics.
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months.
- Certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist within 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.
- 1 year of acute care experience.

Pay
Salary Range: $89,900 - $107,880/Annual
