About the Role
Join our Clinical Nutrition Team, a dedicated group of clinicians providing patient- and family-centered, evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. As a Clinical Dietitian Professional, you will deliver comprehensive, safe, and ethical medical nutrition therapy to patients, families, and clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings at Children’s Hospital Colorado Anschutz Campus and across the Denver Metro Area.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver accurate medical nutrition therapy using established standards and evidence, incorporating principles of culture-competence and family-centered care.
- Train and observe registered dietitians (RDs), interns, and students in their clinical practice, providing feedback to enhance understanding and compliance.
- Pursue professional growth and skill development while actively contributing to rounds, care conferences, and care coordination.
- Collaborate and promote teamwork to achieve positive patient and client outcomes across the organization and within the department.
- Proactively connect with the Clinical Nutrition team and other disciplines to identify issues, potential solutions, and opportunities for quality and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with established regulatory standards and healthcare requirements by following policies and procedures for nutritional care.
- Accurately document patient care and track time/activities for benchmarking, billing, and productivity in accordance with department standards.
- Participate in advocacy, policy and procedure review, quality improvement, and/or research.
- Collaborate as a member of committees, task forces, and workgroups to support the organization’s mission.
- Assist in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (for graduates prior to 2024) or Master’s Degree (required for 2024 and beyond graduates).
- Two (2) years of clinical nutrition experience.
- Licensure as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) adhering to the Commission of Dietetic Registration guidelines.
- Certifications such as CNSC, CSO, or CSP preferred.
Pay
Pay ranges from $31.35 to $47.03 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. Expected starting pay for this position is between $32.50 and $39.00 per hour. Weekend shifts are eligible for a weekend differential.
