Essential Functions
- Provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, referral for services in the community (case management).
- Mental health programming for campus constituents.
- Consultation for faculty and staff.
- Contributes to the administration of the office of counseling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s Degree in relevant field.
- Certification/licensure, or license-eligible within 12 months of hire at the independent practice level, such as LCSW, AAMFT Clinical membership, licensed psychologist.
- Three years’ experience in college/university student services or another relevant clinical environment.
- Clinical training in various therapeutic approaches, such as: CBT, ACT, EFT, and DBT.
- The ability to practice using the theoretical constructs of modern psychodynamic psychotherapy, self-psychology, and attachment theory in working with students who present with disorders of the self.
- Awareness of and appreciation for diversity and the needs of a diverse student body.
- The ability to anchor a multi-cultural perspective and approach into clinical work.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
- The ability to foster and function effectively in a team environment.
Work Schedule/Hours
21-24 hours per week during a 10-month appointment. Occasional weekends and evenings in the event of an emergency or crisis.
Pay
$30-$32k
