Clinical Coordinator, RN - Med/Surg - Full Time - Days

About the role

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the unit, the Clinical Coordinator, RN provides oversight during the assigned shift for the clinical and non-clinical staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of personnel assigned to the area.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight during the assigned shift for the clinical and non-clinical staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service.
• Assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of personnel assigned to the area.
• Supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff in pursuit of the objectives of the hospital.

Requirements

• Minimum education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program, BSN preferred.
• Minimum work experience: One year clinical experience in specialty required. One year experience as a Clinical Coordinator / Charge Nurse preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Texas as a registered Nurse.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS certification preferred within the first year of hire.
