Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards

  • Provides administrative support to Behavioral Health Department leadership.
  • Maintains clinician schedules/templates to optimize access and workflow.
  • Prepares reports, meeting minutes, and maintains organized records and databases.
  • Captures supplies, invoices, and basic purchasing processes.
  • Serves as primary contact for behavioral health services at assigned site(s).
  • Manages BH referrals, including EMR work tasks, scheduling, tracking, and authorizations.
  • Facilitates warm handoffs and coordinates internal/external referrals and transitions of care.
  • Conducts appointment reminders, manages no-shows, and backfills schedules.
  • Identifies barriers to care and connects patients to appropriate resources.
  • Communicates with patients, providers, and external partners to ensure continuity of care.
  • Attends required trainings and meetings; performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of administrative and/or patient care experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
  • Task Management: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Human Services or healthcare training preferred. Medical Assistant and CPR certification preferred (if performing clinical duties).
