Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards
- Provides administrative support to Behavioral Health Department leadership.
- Maintains clinician schedules/templates to optimize access and workflow.
- Prepares reports, meeting minutes, and maintains organized records and databases.
- Captures supplies, invoices, and basic purchasing processes.
- Serves as primary contact for behavioral health services at assigned site(s).
- Manages BH referrals, including EMR work tasks, scheduling, tracking, and authorizations.
- Facilitates warm handoffs and coordinates internal/external referrals and transitions of care.
- Conducts appointment reminders, manages no-shows, and backfills schedules.
- Identifies barriers to care and connects patients to appropriate resources.
- Communicates with patients, providers, and external partners to ensure continuity of care.
- Attends required trainings and meetings; performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of administrative and/or patient care experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
- Task Management: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Human Services or healthcare training preferred. Medical Assistant and CPR certification preferred (if performing clinical duties).
