Clinical Consultant, Medical Informatics (ARRT-R Certified)

About the role

The Clinical Consultant, MI – I will provide clinical consulting for projects, report configuration (CV), workflow analysis, end-to-end testing, remote or onsite training, and go-live support for Synapse PACS/MI projects. This role also provides clinical support for sales and company team members regarding product use and serves as a consultant on behalf of customers and company personnel in compliance with quality procedures, with additional assistance to TAC Support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as consultant on behalf of customers and company personnel
• Make appropriate contacts within HCUS and at customer sites to coordinate each training event
• Provide ongoing support to resolve application-related and image quality concerns on both product and system levels
• Work closely with interpreting physicians, clinicians, and other professional staff to ensure proper and efficient operation of Fujifilm products
• Provide and maintain documentation to support customer training
• Provide additional training and consultation at a charge, contributing to Professional Services revenue goals
• Work with HCUS team to gain customer acceptance of FUJIFILM Medical Systems solutions
• Participate in teaching and training customers remotely or via travel consistent with position requirements and HCUS customer needs
• Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements of the company's quality management system
• Maintain effective communications and working relationships with all HCUS departments (Service, Engineering, Integration, Customer Service, etc.)
• Adhere to quality and regulatory compliance requirements, performing all job duties according to established policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe work environment and take corrective action where appropriate
• Participate in professional organizations
• Provide telephone and remote clinical support for customers, sales, and field service via the ON-Call Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
• Perform all other functions and responsibilities assigned by management
• Comply with all applicable U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards
• Comply with and pass all vendor credentialing requirements for hospital and facility access

Qualifications

• 2 to 10 years of progressive experience in medical technology, computer science, PACS Administration, or healthcare industry
• Cardiology or Radiology discipline experience preferred
• Registered in one or more of the following (preferred):
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with experience in: Transthoracic Echo, Transesophageal Echo, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Pediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, ECG
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with non-invasive experience
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience in: MPI, MUGA, PET
  • Registered Nurse Cardiac with experience in: Cath, Peripheral Angiography, Electrophysiology Lab, ECG
  • ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist with digital imaging experience
• Professional presence and ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions
• Healthcare or software application/IT industry background a plus
• Medical imaging background
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate comfortably with end-users and clinical supervisors
• End-user computer skills with competence in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Technical support experience with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to identify workflow requirements to product features
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education/Certification

• Associate's Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant healthcare field required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant healthcare field preferred

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time
• Ability to use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time

• Ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time
• Ability to walk long distances and utilize stairs
• Close vision: ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less
• Ability to withstand change in air pressure due to travel

Travel

Frequent (up to 75%) travel may be required based on business needs.

Pay

$74,675 - $88,796.00 (salary depending on experience) with 8% MBO Bonus opportunity.
