Clinical Consultant, Medical Informatics (Medical Imaging)

About the role

Provide clinical consulting for Synapse PACS/MI projects, including report configuration (CV), workflow analysis, end-to-end testing, remote or onsite training, and go-live support. Serve as a clinical support resource for sales and company team members regarding the use of Fujifilm products, acting as a consultant for customers and company personnel in compliance with quality procedures. Assist with Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as consultant on behalf of customers and company personnel.
• Coordinate training events by making appropriate contacts within HCUS and at customer sites.
• Provide ongoing support to resolve application-related and image quality concerns at both product and system levels.
• Work closely with interpreting physicians, clinicians, and other professional staff to ensure proper and efficient operation of Fujifilm products.
• Provide and maintain documentation to support customer training.
• Offer additional training and consultation at a charge, contributing to Professional Services revenue goals.
• Work with the HCUS team to gain customer acceptance of Fujifilm Medical Systems solutions.
• Participate in teaching and training customers remotely or via travel as required.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective communications and working relationships with all HCUS departments (Service, Engineering, Integration, Customer Service, etc.).
• Adhere to company quality, regulatory compliance, and safety policies.
• Provide telephone and remote clinical support for customers, sales, and field service via the ON-Call Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
• Comply with U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Comply with vendor credentialing requirements for access to hospitals and facilities, including vaccination mandates.
• Participate in professional organizations.

Requirements

• 2 to 10 years of progressive experience in medical technology, computer science, PACS administration, or healthcare industry; experience in Cardiology or Radiology preferred.
• Registered in one or more of the following (preferred):
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with experience in: Transthoracic Echo, Transesophageal Echo, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Pediatric Echo, Fetal Echo, ECG.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with experience in non-invasive procedures.
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with experience in MPI, MUGA, PET.
  • Registered Nurse with Cardiac experience in Cath, Peripheral Angiography, Electrophysiology Lab, ECG.
  • ARRT Registered Radiology Technologist experienced in digital imaging.
• Professional presence with ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions.
• Healthcare, software application, or IT industry background a plus.
• Medical imaging background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with end-users and clinical supervisors.
• Proficient end-user computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective interpersonal and technical support skills with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to identify workflow requirements and align them with product features.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant healthcare field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in the IT/Healthcare field.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Understand and apply quality management system processes.

Schedule

Frequent travel (up to 75%) may be required based on business needs.

Pay

$74,675 - $88,796 annually, depending on experience, plus an 8% MBO bonus opportunity.
