May Institute’s nationally recognized Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and school consultation team is seeking a Clinical Consultant to drive large-scale impact across schools, districts, and agencies in the Greater Philadelphia area.

About the Role

As a Clinical Consultant and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will provide high-level consultation, coaching, and capacity-building to shape inclusive, data-informed systems that support student success. This role offers a dynamic mix of school-based consultation, systems design, professional development, and leadership for experienced clinicians seeking to expand their influence beyond direct service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert consultation to public and private schools implementing PBIS and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), with a focus on improving equity, access, and behavioral outcomes.
  • Conduct advanced functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and design individualized behavior support plans aligned with ethical standards and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and technical assistance to school staff and administrators to ensure fidelity of implementation and staff capacity-building.
  • Collaborate with district leaders to assess, develop, and refine school-wide systems, practices, and data tools for sustainable behavioral and academic success.
  • Support teams in collecting, analyzing, and using data to inform instruction, monitor interventions, and evaluate overall system performance.
  • Assist with program evaluations in collaboration with stakeholders to assess implementation of evidence-based practices and develop recommendations for program enhancement and professional development.

Requirements

  • Active BCBA certification (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field. Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-certification experience in school-based settings, systems-level consultation, and capacity-building.
  • Strong working knowledge of PBIS, MTSS, and function-based behavior support strategies in K–12 environments.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex organizational dynamics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and associated applications (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Commitment to equity-centered practices, cultural responsiveness, and inclusion for all students.

Pay

$78,000 - $85,000 annually.
