Clinical Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Consultant to join our Clinical Services team, focusing on disability claims management within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating medical documentation to assess disability claims and functional abilities.
• Providing clinical insights on complex medical conditions, treatments, and recovery timelines.
• Collaborating with claims professionals to support quality decision-making.
• Educating and consulting with physicians, vocational counselors, employers, and stakeholders.
• Communicating medical determinations via phone and written reports.
• Supporting return-to-work planning by evaluating restrictions and accommodations.
• Participating in peer collaboration, claims roundtables, and mentoring colleagues on clinical topics.

Qualifications and Skills

• Active RN licensure (BSN preferred) with 3+ years of clinical experience working with adult populations.
• Specialty certifications (e.g., CCM, CRRN) are a plus.
• Experience in rehabilitation, Occupational Health, Case Management, Disability Insurance, or Workers' Compensation is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for professional consultation across diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical systems.
• Self-motivated with excellent critical thinking, time management, and judgment skills.

Pay

This role offers a salary range of $77,400 - $116,100, based on experience and location, with potential for performance-based incentives.
