Clinical Concierge, Medical Assistant
About the role
Cottage Medical Group seeks a Clinical Concierge (Medical Assistant) for their Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic. The Clinical Concierge companions patients and their secondary guests through the entire visit to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and enhance the patient experience—before, during, and after the appointment. This role assists providers with both front-office and back-office duties in outpatient care on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of clinical functions within a clinical setting, requiring knowledge of standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision-making; and a customer service attitude.
- Act as a patient advocate with continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families, community agencies, and patient care staff.
- Register patients, collect payments, assist with rooming, support providers and clinical staff with care and treatment, discharge patients, and follow up post-visit.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum: High School Diploma. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
- Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Minimum: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
- Technical Requirements:
- Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty and medical terminology.
- Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Epic.
- Basic computer and email skills.
- Preferred: Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
- Years of Related Work Experience:
- Minimum: 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent, including previous experience with an electronic health record and phlebotomy.
- Preferred: Urgent care experience.

Pay
Compensation for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program.
