About the Role
This co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for high school students. The individual is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of patient care tasks, supporting the care team in providing quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within a clinical scope of practice.
- Fulfill designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care (non-assessment).
- Identify, observe, and document the physical needs of patients according to standards.
- Assist with patient transfer and transport as needed.
- Assist in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and taking corrective measures in the care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Support clerical responsibilities required for task completion.
- Suggest issues for improvement and offer solutions.
- Comply with all job-specific obligations and organizational policies and procedures.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
