Clinical Center Associate
Full-time position in Diagnostic Radiology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
About the role
Performs clerical support functions in an assigned inpatient or outpatient center(s) of the organization. Duties include answering routine inquiries, screening calls, assisting visitors and patients, recording and transcribing physician orders, maintaining and coordinating clinic schedules, managing the co-pay collection process, and participating in team or group work activities. Work is performed in a confidential environment under direct supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Answer routine inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff
- Screen and direct phone calls
- Assist visitors and patients with check-in and navigation
- Record and transcribe physician orders accurately
- Maintain and coordinate clinic schedules
- Manage the co-pay collection process
- Participate in team or group work activities within the center(s)
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include one of the following:
- Associate’s degree in Medical Office Assistant and one (1) year of full-time secretarial experience in a clinical setting requiring medical terminology
- High School diploma or equivalency, completion of a Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program, and one (1) year of full-time secretarial experience in a clinical setting requiring medical terminology
- High School diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of full-time secretarial experience in a clinical setting requiring medical terminology
Required degrees must be granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Pay
Starting hourly rate is $21.81.
