Clinical Care Leader, Inpatient - Surgery
About the role
The Clinical Care Leader will run the surgery schedule in the evenings from 11:30am-8pm.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the staff in the rooms, when cases move or cancel, how cases are progressing, to see what changes need to be made
- Communicate with the day charge RN, regarding how cases are going in rooms and if they will not be done for the following case.
- Manage the flow of the afternoon/evening cases and rooms that are going
- Manage staffing in the operating room
- Communicate with staff, CRNA’s, MDA’s, Physicians
- Make sure staff get breaks and lunches and are relieved timely at the end of their shift.
- Add on cases
- Be a resource for staff
Job Schedule
You will have 3-4 evening shifts per month. You can work 8 hrs., 10 hrs., or 12 hr. shifts. Work 1 holiday a year. Work every 6-7 rotating weekend. No call, no scheduled overnight shifts, and no additional evenings outside of charge nurse role.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of previous operating room experience required
