Clinical Cardiologist

MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical cardiologist (non-interventional) for their Rockport practice. This position also provides outreach to their clinic in Belfast.

About the Role

• Join a collaborative team of 4 cardiologists who equally share call weeks.
• Care team model with 3 APPs along with full clinical and administrative support staff.
• Full clinic days see 17 patients.
• Separate dedicated graphics reading time.
• Provide comprehensive cardiac testing services, including stress testing, cardiac monitoring, nuclear, echocardiography, and MRI.
• Procedures offered include TEEs and cardioversions.
• Visiting Electrophysiology sub-specialist in office 1-2 days a month.
• Advanced Heart Failure outreach once a month via telehealth.
• In-office implantation of loop recorders.

The integrated cardiology practice includes Pen Bay Medical Center (PBMC) and Waldo Hospital. Pen Bay is a 99-bed, full-service community hospital located directly on beautiful Penobscot Bay in Rockport, Maine. PBMC offers inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, patient and community education, and a full-range of specialty services through the Emergency Department, Special Care Unit, Surgical Services Department, full Hospitalist Service, and the Psychiatric Addiction & Recovery Center. Waldo is located in Belfast and is a critical access hospital offering many of the same services as Pen Bay including cardiac rehab and cardiac testing.

MaineHealth Cardiology is a fully integrated cardiovascular practice that has 80+ cardiologists practicing in Southern, Coastal, and Mountain regions of the health system. Academic opportunities within research and education are available for interested candidates.

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification/Board Eligible.

Pay

The annual base salary for this position is $620,000. Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, productivity incentives, and quality incentives.
