About the role

We are currently seeking a skilled Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst to fulfill a Clinical BCaBA position. This individual will support patients in the Carmel, IN area.

Summary

The Clinical BCaBA is responsible for developing appropriate programs and behavior plans as well as supervising their implementation. The Clinical BCaBA works closely with the CD in order to determine goals for each patient. The Clinical BCaBA continually monitors their assigned teams and each patient’s progress in order to provide the most relevant programming.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Creates and supervises implementation of new programs
  • Supports CBI, EBI, and TABI
  • Creates individualized behavior support plan with support from Clinical Apprentice
  • Billing expectations are 5 hours per day (25 per week, 100 per month – exception for months that have additional business days; in those cases, expectations adjust accordingly to 125, 130, or 135 hours per month)
  • Maintains client confidentiality per LS policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule Regulations
  • Adheres to all LS policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director, Vice President of Clinical Operations, Chief Operations Officer, or Chief Executive Officer

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ABA or related field
  • Board certification assistant behavior analysis (BCaBA)
  • Experience with behavior guideline development and programming for patients with autism
  • Strong attention to detail for data collection and report writing
  • Positive team player and energetic professional
  • Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good judgment and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately given the circumstances of the situation and individuals involved
  • Discretion in matters that need to remain private
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Conditions of Employment

  • Must successfully pass the initial and updated criminal history, background, and record checks, which includes driving history checks.
  • Must provide transportation to patients using your personal vehicle and travel to different locations within the surrounding area to provide therapy and must have valid driver’s license.
  • Must provide proof of automobile insurance with a minimum of $100,000 combined in property and medical liability prior to and during employment.
  • Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, as required, for both illness (i.e. masks, etc.) and patient behaviors (i.e. protective jackets, sleeves, hats/helmets, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises the Technicians working with their caseload of patients.

Work Environment

Position operates in a clinical environment. This role routinely uses standard office and audiovisual equipment. The environment is open with bright lights and active patients that result in a loud environment. Position may also operate at offsite locations including a patient’s home, school, or place of employment. This role will be expected to work at multiple sites with different patient profiles, including a range of ability level(s) presenting challenging behaviors. This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

Other requirements

  • Supervise employee’s patient consistently and independently
  • Be able to work with patients who may be larger in height and/or weight than employee
