About the role

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is united by the mission to end cancer for life. Specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages, informed by basic research at the Sloan Kettering Institute. The Clinical Assistant Program is a 10‑week paid experience where you will work alongside Magnet‑recognized nursing staff to gain exposure to oncology while learning core clinical nurse skills. The program begins May 27, 2027. No prior experience in a specialty is required to be interested in it.

Responsibilities

• Oncology clinical and classroom orientation program
• Assignments to Med/Surg Inpatient Units, Pediatrics, Critical Care, Ambulatory Care, Perioperative Units, or the Operating Room
• Collaboration with Magnet‑recognized nursing staff
• Full‑time schedule: 10‑ and 12‑hour day shifts, with weekend rotation as needed
• Opportunities for Clinical Observation Days
• Placements available across inpatient medical and surgical oncology, critical care, the operating room,
