Clinical Extern Program (Summer 2026 start)

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care under the supervision of RNs and other healthcare professionals.
• Performs basic nursing procedures as directed.
• Contributes to the overall patient experience and well-being, comfort, and safety.
• Works in an unlicensed assistive role to support nursing staff in delivering patient care.

Requirements

• Successfully completed two semesters of college.
• Current in a school program.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Pass a background check.
• Be able to pass a drug screening.
• Have a valid driver’s license if required by the department.

Skills

While not required to qualify for this position, skills that would be helpful include:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.10 per hour.

Schedule

This is a Per Diem position with some weekend and holiday shifts per unit requirements.
