About the role

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, and Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the outpatient program to assess, diagnose, and treat mental, emotional, developmental, and behavioral health disorders.
  • Contribute to the academic and research efforts of the medical school and hospital.
  • Teach a wide range of interdisciplinary trainees including medical students, pediatric residents, and DBP fellows through MCHB-funded DBP and CA-LEND training programs.
  • Contribute to the care and treatment of patients in the outpatient program.
  • Participate in clinical education.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in DBP.
  • A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.

  • Experience in developmental-behavioral pediatrics.
  • Strong teaching and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Knowledge of developmental-behavioral pediatrics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904-$325,712.

Schedule

The position is full-time, 8 hours per day.
