About the Role
The Specialty Full-Time Faculty member supervises and mentors dental students within their specialty area, ensuring high-quality patient care, clinical instruction, and academic excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and demonstrate clinical procedures, including patient assessments, anesthesia administration, radiography, and suturing.
- Manage patient care continuity and ensure safety, comfort, and cleanliness of facilities.
- Provide technical guidance, evaluate student performance, and counsel students and staff.
- Maintain documentation, prepare reports, and monitor supplies and equipment.
- Assist in teaching professionalism, clinical skills, and practice management.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff, and advise on academic issues.
- Support student development through open-door counseling and fostering a positive environment.
Requirements
- DDS/DMD and specialty degree from a CODA-accredited institution.
- Board certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of clinical or academic experience.
- Active licenses in Arizona and DEA registration required.
