The UMKC School of Dentistry, founded in 1881, is the only public dental school in Missouri and Kansas, offering eight fully accredited programs including advanced education in general dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Located on UMKC’s Health Sciences Campus alongside the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing and Health Studies, the School provides outstanding education, extensive hands‑on clinical training, and real‑world community service. Each year, students and faculty deliver care to more than 56,000 patients while shaping the future of oral health through innovation in teaching, research, and clinical practice.
