Clinical Assistant Professor

Job Summary

Teach in-person, at the bedside in acute care institution providing oversight of undergraduate clinical nursing students, hybrid and online courses for the College of Nursing.

Advise nursing students

Participate in scholarly activities

Participate in appropriate professional, college and university service commitments

Other responsibilities as delineated in Faculty Handbook and at the direction of College of Nursing administration

Minimum Qualifications

• Current unencumbered New York State RN license
• Two years bedside clinical experience
• MSN or relevant graduate degree from an accredited institution completed prior to the start date
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed doctorate
• Formal coursework in Nursing education
• Demonstrated commitment to working closely with undergraduate students in small-class settings in a dynamic and diverse/multicultural learning environment
