About the role

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (12MO).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a full-time faculty member providing classroom and lab instruction in assigned courses as part of the CAAHEP curriculum.
• Assess student learning and skills and provide academic advisement.
• Provide mentorship of senior projects as well as participation in clinical site supervision, student recruitment, and college service.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited U.S. College/University.
• Required: Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Required: Prior clinical work experience.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree.
• Preferred: RDCS, RDMS, RVT certifications.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Computer literacy and strong organizational skills.
Or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
