Join our team and help create an exceptional patient experience across our practice. Surgical Specialists of Charlotte is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Patient Service Representative Floater to support front office operations across our locations as staffing needs arise.

Your Role

As a Clinical Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our patient care team, supporting our Trauma and Emergency General Surgery providers, performing hands-on patient care, and ensuring every patient receives the attention and expertise they deserve. You’ll thrive in a dynamic clinic, balancing clinical responsibilities with patient care coordination and administrative support.

What You’ll Do

• Cook up care between inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Aid surgeons during clinic visits, minor procedures, and perform wound care / suture and staple removal
• Inform patients prior to minor procedures using booklets and instruction sheets, in accordance with physician guidance
• Manage patient communications, prescription refill requests, radiology scheduling, and handle FMLA/disability paperwork
• Orchestrating administrative duties such as ordering supplies, stocking rooms, responding to patient messages, filing documents, and monitoring work queues in the EHR system
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care

Experience / Education / Licensure Needed

• Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license and 2+ years’ clinical experience required
• Emergency / General Surgical experience preferred, with clinical skill competency in office procedures, sterile technique and wound care strongly preferred
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and communication skills
• EMR experience (NextGen preferred)
