Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information (medical history, purpose of visit) by communicating with a patient
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature
• Records appropriate patient information on patient charts and/or Salesforce
• Safeguards patient information and maintains confidentiality
• Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and answering questions about surgery
• Aids in the preparation of charts, pre-admission, and consent forms
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures
• Maintains inventory of supplies as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Medical Terminology knowledge preferred
• Holds and maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
