Clinical Assistant
About the role
The Delaware Institute of Reproductive Medicine (DIRM), part of IVI-RMA North America, seeks a full-time Clinical Assistant for their Milford, Delaware location. This position is Monday through Friday, from 7am-3pm.
Responsibilities
- Aid physicians with clinical procedures
- Follow proper protocols for all procedures
- Practice phlebotomy
- Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments, and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds
- Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol
- Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory
- Collect specimens and process for in-house and outside laboratories
- Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, and results
- Enter results and email to provider team for review
- Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during, and after procedures
Requirements
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
- Studies level: Certification Studies area: Nursing/healthcare assistant
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Program – preferred
- Studies area: Phlebotomy Program
- 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice
- Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – required
- EMR experience – preferred
