Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Pediatric Otolaryngologist
Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Florida is seeking applicants for a multi-mission track academic position in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.
About the role
The candidate will provide and direct clinical care for children with a full range of pediatric otolaryngology services, both inpatient and outpatient, with APP and resident support. The successful applicant will join a busy academic practice with 15 faculty, including 2 pediatric fellowship-trained physicians. Tenure status and academic rank will be based on experience.
Developing a subspecialty niche depending on the physician's interests will be encouraged. Potential areas of development include airway reconstruction surgery, treatment of vascular malformations, hearing loss and/or cochlear implantation, and craniofacial surgery.
Leadership opportunities in clinical care, education, and research may be available depending on the candidate's interest and experience. The position is full-time academic, with responsibilities for teaching residents and medical students assigned to inpatient and outpatient services.
Ample research opportunities in multidisciplinary groups are available, with current NIH and industry-sponsored research funding in the department.
Responsibilities
- Provide and direct clinical care for pediatric otolaryngology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Teach and mentor residents and medical students.
- Develop a subspecialty niche based on clinical interests.
- Engage in research activities, including multidisciplinary collaborations.
- Pursue leadership opportunities in clinical care, education, and research as available.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology.
- Licensed or eligible to practice in Florida.
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology or significant comparable clinical experience (preferred).
- Strong commitment to clinical practice, teaching, and research.
