Clinical APRN - Pain Management Clinic

About the role

Located at University Health Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri, in the UH1 Pain Management Clinic (UHTMC). This is a full‑time position.

The Advance Practice Registered Nurse- Clinical Specialty provides an advanced level of care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in the assessment and treatment of disease and management of health/illness where Clinical Specialty is a preferred treatment resource for patients. May perform specific diagnostic and/or interventional procedures under the supervision of the physician.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing required
• Licensed as a registered professional nurse in Missouri
• Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program and/or certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required
• 2 years’ experience as family practice nurse practitioner in a Clinical Specialty clinic, or other relevant Clinical Specialty environment
• Certification affiliated with Clinical Specialty service line
• Current BCLS certification and must be maintained for continued employment
• Current ACLS and must be maintained in a current/active state for continued employment when required by the department
• Demonstrates clinical expertise in Clinical Specialty
• Demonstrates leadership ability

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical Clinical Specialty experience preferred
• Advanced education in the diagnosis and management of patients with diseases where Clinical Specialty is implicated

Schedule

Work schedule: 8:00AM – 4:30PM, 40 hours per week.
