About the role

This Application Analyst position will learn and apply functional and systems expertise in revenue cycle and billing to configure, test, and support solutions that increase revenue, reduce cost, and improve the patient financial experience. The role will develop understanding of Epic revenue cycle modules including, but not limited to HIM, Resolute, and Claims. In addition to Epic skills, the Application Analyst will configure, deploy, and support non-Epic systems including but not limited to Solventum, Waystar, Experian, Hyland OnBase, Vitalware, and other third-party revenue management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tier-2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk
  • Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use
  • Coordinate application support with other information technology teams including Infrastructure, Integration, Reporting, and the help desk
  • Assist in the implementation of low complexity tools and workflows
  • Assist in the upgrade of applicable software or enhancements to existing workflows
  • Assist in any testing that is required as part of new implementations, enhancements or upgrades
  • Modify tables/master files, make additions and changes under the direction of senior team members
  • Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department’s policies and procedures
  • Participate in team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications; including 24/7 on call coverage as required
  • Take ownership of low complexity issues and act as a liaison between customer and other support staff to facilitate resolution

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Systems, Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering, Health Information Management or a directly-related field from an accredited college or university
  • Must obtain Epic certification in relevant module(s) within 6 months of employment date

Required Experience Qualifications

  • Six (6) months of healthcare or technology related work experience

Pay

Generally starting at $52.69 - $69.82 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
