Clinical Application Specialist, Neurology (EEG/PSG)
About the role
The Clinical Application Specialist, Neurology (NCAS) is responsible for providing professional Clinical Applications Training and customer support. Interfacing with but not limited to NK Sales, Clinical Specialist, Marketing, Service, Support, IT, and PMO to effectively implement Nihon Kohden Systems into customer sites. Managing time wisely and efficiently and accomplishing assignments in established timeframes.
Essential Functions And Main Duties
- Develops and delivers customized training and support plans for Nihon Kohden equipment to customer accounts.
- Assembles portable carts.
- Leads implementation teams to complete projects on time, safely, and to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Provides ongoing customer support in person, by telephone, or through remote desktop solutions.
- Makes travel arrangements in accordance with company policies and completes expense reports within designated timeframes.
- Updates product knowledge as operations or features change.
- Maintains clinical knowledge, competence, and active certification.
- Manages time efficiently to accomplish assignments within established timeframes.
- Sets required documentation within designated deadlines.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
Qualifications
- Education / Certification / Experience Required: Associate degree in science or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of a degree
- A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required
- 3+ years of combined experience in both EEG, and PSG, and one or more of the following disciplines; EP, LTM, NCS, EEG, PSG, or IONMM
- Must have one or more of the following credentials: R. EEG T., RPSGT, R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM, CAP, R.NCS.T., CNCT, CAP
Compensation
The anticipated range for this position is $75,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions
- Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are dependent on the customer’s schedule and the scope of the project. May be required to provide scheduled after-hour support calls.
- Physical: Requires some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision.
- Travel: Approximately 80% domestically and limited international travel.
Access to Customer Sites
It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites.
Typical Vendor Credentialing Expenses
Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
