About the Role
The Clinical Admin Coordinator supports a high-volume customer service environment by managing member interactions and coordinating care-related information. This role facilitates communication among members, providers, and clinical teams while ensuring accurate processing of referrals, authorizations, and medical records. The position contributes to efficient care coordination and member services by resolving inquiries, maintaining accurate information, and supporting clinical administrative workflows.
Responsibilities
- Manage intake of member information and admission and discharge notifications
- Coordinate service requests with hospitals, clinics, facilities, and clinical teams
- Oversee referral processes, including intake, notifications, and census activities
- Provide triage and care coordination notifications for non-clinical assessments
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with members and providers
- Resolve inquiries and issues from members and providers
- Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and thoroughness in a high-volume customer service environment
- Ensure accurate documentation and processing of care-related information
- Work a flexible schedule, including evening hours
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or health insurance
- Clinical or healthcare administrative experience
- Call center or customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with administrative support and care coordination
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
Pay
Hourly pay range of $18.00 to $32.00, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
