Clinic Surgery Scheduler - 500984

Job Summary

Perform a variety of clerical duties to prepare and maintain surgery patient schedules within an assigned cluster for elective, urgent and emergent surgery postings for clinic patients and physicians.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of surgical scheduling experience
• At least 12 months of experience as a surgery scheduler in a surgeon’s office
• 12 months of experience with data entry and verification, appointment scheduling, documentation
• Proficient with medical procedure abstracting
• Experience using the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) system
• Knowledge of payor regulatory requirements for pre-authorization/pre-certification
• Experience with insurance referrals
• Proficient in medical transcription

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a position such as this or with a medical billing office, insurance company, or similar position
