Job Summary

You will coordinate and schedule surgical appointments and follow-up care for multiple physicians in the ophthalmology department. Your responsibilities include performing pre-operative and post-operative data entry, assembling chart materials, and providing patients with necessary information about their procedures.

Required Job Requirements

• Two (2) years experience in a medical office environment with knowledge of medical surgical terminology
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to use a computer
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to participate as a member of a team
• Reliability and punctuality
• Excellent customer service and public relations skills

Preferred Experience/Certification

• Experience with IBM/Cerner/IDX applications
• Preferred experience/certification in department specialty
