Clinic Supervisor II

The Clinic Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a single practice or multiple small medical practice offices with five to fifteen providers, focusing on physician and professional relationships, customer service, and financial management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the day-to-day operations of assigned departments, focusing on physician relationships, professional relationships, customer service, and financial management.
- Effectively coordinates clinic operations by aligning administrative policy, physician preferences, and patient needs.
- Acts as a liaison between support professionals, physicians, and Directors of Operations.
- Maintains open communication with clinic leadership, hospital departments, referring physicians, and staff physicians.
- Maintains authority to purchase daily operational supplies, control inventory, and order adequate stock while practicing cost containment.
- Assists in preparing and/or coordinating operational, manpower, and capital budgets; adheres to financial and operational budgets.
- Ensures quality control and environmental standards to promote a favorable clinic image.
- Manages effective and efficient patient and professional scheduling while maintaining adequate staffing levels.
- Coordinates in-service training, continuing education, and orientations for staff.
- Oversees supervision of professionals, including recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and personnel actions.
- Motivates professionals to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Maintains timecards and reports worked time to payroll.
- Develops or assists with the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe clinic operations.
- Troubleshoots problem areas and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintains professional growth through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay current with healthcare trends.
- Ensures workplace safety by following safe work practices and policies, including infection control, equipment handling, and disaster preparedness.
- Ensures courteous and efficient interactions with team members and support groups in line with Samaritan’s Standards of Behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related clinical area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a healthcare leadership role may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in management and supervisory leadership.
- Working knowledge of medical office operations and physician practice financial administration.
- BLS certification to be completed within six months of hire.
- Ability to formulate and execute operational plans for physician practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with professionals at all levels, both internal and external.
- Sound conflict management skills and ability to handle highly confidential data.
- Competency in using department-specific equipment and demonstrating critical thinking, analytical, and process improvement skills.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Work Environment
The Clinic Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations and supports day-to-day clinic operations, including patient care coordination, team supervision, budget management, and troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the day.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Good reading eyesight, full visual acuity, depth perception, and color perception.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for accurate information exchange.
Schedule
This is a full-time, salaried position working Monday through Friday.
