Clinic Staff Nurse - LVN - Full time

About the role

Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18‑bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Gather pertinent clinical information and perform assessments and treatments in the outpatient clinic/medical office setting.
• Perform CLIA waived testing, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered by physicians and in keeping with current clinical nursing practice.
• Perform a range of services in a cross‑functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs for continuity of care, including making referrals to outside providers, gathering reports from other facilities, and coordinating other healthcare‑related services.
• Assume responsibility, under the direction of the Clinic Medical Director/Laboratory Director, for patient specimen collecting and testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing – LVN.
• Licenses/Certificates: Must have a license to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact.
• Successful completion of AHA‑approved BLS course upon hire.
• Experience: One (1) year experience as a Professional Nurse – LVN.

Schedule

Full Time; Monday–Friday; 8 am–5 pm.
