Clinic Services Specialist 2 - Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities

• Scheduling patient appointments with accuracy and care
• Verifying insurance and handling patient registration
• Managing co-pay collections and balancing daily/weekly deposits
• Supporting front-office operations and serving as a resource for colleagues
• Assisting with limited coding and charge entry as needed
• Performing complex activities requiring prioritization and discretion, including scheduling, insurance verification, registration, balancing co-pay money and daily/weekly deposits
• Problem solving independently and mentoring others
• Interfacing with physicians and other staff on a regular basis

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: A minimum of one year of health care experience or equivalent education in at least one of the following areas preferred: Admitting, Medical Records/Health Information, Applicable clerical support experience, Familiarity with Medical Terminology.

Skills: Communications skills. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure: BLS certification, preferred.

USD $21.25 - USD $30.39 /Hr.
