Clinic Receptionist
About the role
The Receptionist, also known as a Clinic Receptionist or Hospital Receptionist, is the initial point of contact for patients and plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming, organized, and professional clinic experience. This position supports daily front office operations by handling phone calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and ensuring necessary paperwork is completed.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer incoming calls and direct patients, providers, and staff appropriately
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments following provider protocols
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other payments according to company policy
- Assist with paperwork, front office tasks, and other duties or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of current
- Previous medical office receptionist experience is a plus
