CLINIC PRACTICE MANAGER-LPN

About the role

The Urology Clinic Practice Manager reports to the Administrative Director and works under the direct supervision of the Physician(s). The role is responsible for coordinating and supervising clinic and administrative operations.

Responsibilities

• Clinical coordination and oversight of Urology clinic operations
• Supervision of clinic staff
• Facilitating communication between clinic staff and physicians
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Managing clinic budgets and resources
• Overseeing patient flow and scheduling
• Collaborating with other departments to improve clinic efficiency

Requirements

• Graduate of professional accredited LPN nursing school
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in Urology, Urogynecology or surgery
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience or relevant experience in a medical/physician's outpatient facility
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts
• BLS healthcare provider certification
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC and Meditech), Outlook, Word, Excel
• Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures
• Strong interpersonal communication skills on the phone and in person
• Strong customer service skills
• Multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and with the public in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision
• Ability to interact professionally and positively with patients and colleagues
• Ability to accurately process financial transactions
• Ability to use computer-based scheduling/record/billing systems to record and maintain demographic, scheduling, and billing related information
• Possesses and applies the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care to patients and customers throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns in each step of the care process

• Knowledge of growth and development

• Ability to provide population specific communication
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Proficient in using and training others in common PC applications
• Excellent customer service skills to handle difficult situations
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate new and current staff
