About the role

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to support our Endocrinology Suite onsite Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Clinic/Practice Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices, ensuring teams deliver the highest quality experience that exceeds patients' expectations. While primarily assigned to the Endocrinology Suite, you may be asked to float to other South Shore departments during orientation (for training/precepting) or during staffing shortages/extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage).

Responsibilities

  • Check in and check out patients
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Collect balance due and co-payments
  • Complete tasks in Epic in-basket and work queues
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patient appointments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience

Qualifications

We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting. This role is ideal for those seeking to gain healthcare experience or for proven healthcare professionals looking for a new challenge.

  • Prior medical office experience (preferred)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Pay

This position is classified as Pay Range / Grade 3. Base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors.
