About the role

The Clinic Patient Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for patients both inside and outside the clinic. Responsibilities include accurately collecting and analyzing demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data to register and book patient appointments under close supervision. The role supports coordination of scheduling procedures, maintains and monitors surgery schedules to maximize block utilization, and facilitates routine patient access activities to ensure efficient operations, timely reimbursement, and optimal consumer satisfaction. The position promotes teamwork and aligns with Enloe Medical Center’s mission, core values, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze required patient data (demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical) for registration and appointment booking.
  • Support coordination of scheduling procedures and maintain surgery schedules to maximize block utilization.
  • Facilitate routine patient access activities to ensure efficient clinic operations and expedite reimbursement.
  • Promote teamwork and uphold Enloe Medical Center’s mission, core values, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in a medical office or clinic performing general clerical duties (data entry, typing, customer relations, filing, surgery coordination), or six months as an Enloe Clinic Registration Rep II or III in the department of application.
  • Desired experience: surgical office, insurance verification, obtaining insurance authorizations, knowledge of CPT procedure codes and ICD diagnosis coding.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to follow instructions and learn patient access workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service, time management, and accuracy under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
  • Capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the position.
