The CPCA works under the supervision of a physician and/or advanced practice provider and assists with both direct and indirect patient care. This position is a great opportunity for someone with healthcare experience who enjoys working with patients, staying organized, and supporting a busy clinical environment. The role follows established training, competencies, policies, and procedures. What You’ll Do In This Role, You May Welcome and room patients for appointmentsObtain and document patient history and reason for visitTake vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, pulse oximetry, height, and weightPrepare patients and exam rooms for visitsDocument patient information in the electronic health recordPerform point-of-care testing and collect specimensPerform phlebotomy, EKGs, and spirometry after completing required training and competenciesHelp maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinicSchedule appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testingAssist with prior authorizations and required patient formsMaintain supplies and ensure exam and procedure rooms are clean and properly stockedComplete required logs and support department compliance requirementsProvide additional clinic support within the scope of the position and documented competencies The official role includes both clinical rooming responsibilities and administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, and maintaining clinic supplies. What We’re Looking For Required High school diploma or GED Preferred At least one year of relevant healthcare experienceCPR provider certification The position also requires strong communication skills, comfort working with computer systems and electronic health records, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
