About the role

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC-James) aims to improve health in Ohio and worldwide through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The Clinic Nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care by providing specialized outpatient nursing for patients with genitourinary oncology and urologic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
• Provide patient assessment, telephone triage, and care coordination.
• Deliver patient education and symptom management.
• Schedule procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited program.
• Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
• Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
