Responsibilities

  • Collecting medical histories and monitoring vital signs, documenting in the EMR
  • Aiding physicians with minor in-office surgical procedures and physical examinations
  • Performing routine screenings such as hearing, vision, ECG, etc.
  • Administering medications, injections, immunizations and performing wound care or dressing changes
  • Assessing patient needs via phone or in person; coordinating care with other specialists, facilitating follow-up, responding to messages from physicians
  • Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean, safe workplace and equipment
  • Restocking rooms, routine autoclave cleaning of equipment

Qualifications

  • LPN or RN degree required
  • Ability to manage high patient volumes in an efficient manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills for patient, family and team communication
  • Proficiency in technical nursing skills such as IV start, blood draws, dressings, manual vitals
